[ARCHIVED] Search Warrant Leads to Arrests

Hemet Police Human Trafficking Arrests

On June 18th, 2014, members of the Hemet Police R.O.C.S. Team (Restoring Our Community Strategy) and Regional Gang Task Force, in cooperation with the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Team (R.C.A.H.T.) served a search warrant in the 1100 block of Rosalia Avenue in Hemet.

This operation is part of an on-going investigation of human trafficking which is being investigated by R.C.A.H.T. The early morning operation was peaceful, and the residents inside the home were cooperative.

Two arrests were made, and several items of evidence related to the crime of human trafficking were seized by R.C.A.H.T. Detectives. This case involves human trafficking which is occurring in various locations throughout Riverside, Orange, and San Bernardino Counties.

Arrested were:

Dontae Wade - 33 years, and Precious Powers - 30 years, both are Hemet Residents.

Charges include:

False Imprisonment, Pimping, and Cruelty to a Child.
