[ARCHIVED] Disturbance Call Leads to Loaded Gun Arrests

On 10-25-13, at approximately 10:41pm, Hemet Police Dispatch received a call from a citizen reporting that there was a large group of males out in front of an apartment complex in the 200 block of N. Mayflower Street causing a disturbance and smoking marijuana. The caller also stated that one of the males was flashing a gun at another male and then gave a description of the person with the weapon.

Responding Hemet Police Officer's arrived and contacted two subjects that matched the caller's description. Both males were standing next to a vehicle in the carport that had its windows and doors open.

A loaded 9mm handgun was located under the front passenger seat of the vehicle. The vehicle was registered to a family member of one of the men. Both men were arrested and later transported to Riverside County Jail for the following:

Prohibited person possessing ammunition
Ex-felon with a firearm
