[ARCHIVED] Indecent Exposure Leads to Arrest

Gil Quintero Hemet Police Arrest Indecent Exposure Arrest

Indecent Exposure Leads to Arrest

On 8-30-2013 at about 09:36 AM, a 16 year old girl and her mother were walking on the east sidewalk of Sanderson Avenue, south of Devonshire Avenue. The victims saw a vehicle pull up and stop at the driveway of Rite Aid, preparing to exit onto Sanderson Avenue. The victims noticed the driver and sole occupant, 40 year old Gil Quintero of Hemet, acting strangely inside the vehicle. When the victims got close to Quintero's car, they were able to see he was masturbating.

The mother pulled out her cellular phone to call the police, and Quintero quickly drove away. When he exited the driveway, Quintero collided into another vehicle traveling north on Sanderson Avenue. Quintero fled the scene of the collision. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.

A description of Quintero was broadcast, and he was located by Hemet Police Officers at a nearby park. The suspect was positively identified, and he was arrested for indecent exposure, lewd acts in public, and hit and run with an injury. Quintero was booked and is being held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.
