On 12-17-12, at approximately 10:55pm, Hemet Police 911 Operators received a call from an employee of a business in the 1900 block of W. Florida Avenue advising that he was robbed by a suspect armed with a knife.
Hemet Police Officers arrived on scene within 60 seconds of receiving the call and began an area search. Officers learned the suspect approached the employee, who was closing a local business, and pulled out a knife. The suspect demanded money and an undisclosed amount of cash was turned over. The suspect was last seen running northbound through the parking lot and out of sight. The employee was not injured. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect was described as a black male adult in his late 20's, 6' tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, "beady" eyes, and holding a 4" folding knife.
