Members of a regional Gang Task Force based in the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley contacted a subject in the 2700 block of W. Florida Avenue last night at about 8:45pm. During the contact, the 32 year old man was found to be in possession of 2.4 grams of methamphetamine and Task Force members learned he was on AB109 (California's Prison Realignment Program) Probation.
Officers immediately conducted a probation search of his nearby hotel room. Inside the room, officers located a replica handgun, narcotics paraphernalia, and 60 prescription pills that he did not have a prescription for.
Robert Hernandez, 32 years old from San Jacinto was later transported to Riverside County Jail with charges of:
Possession of Methamphetamine
Illegal Possession of Prescription Narcotics
Violation of Probation
