THE HEMET PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL HELP YOU APPLY FOR YOUR PASSPORT  

What you must bring to your passport appointment:

--Your application filled out in black ink
--Your picture identification with copies of the front and back
-- Children 15 yrs. and under both parent's ID, both parents must be present
--Proof of Citizenship Birth Certificate, Naturalization Certificate original and copies
--Passport photo
--Payment for passport execution fee of $35.00 cash or money order
--Payment for your passport book/card as a check or money order payable to the Department of State.
--For children under 15 Passport cards $15.00 Passport Books are $100.00
--16 and Older Passport cards are $30.00 and Passport Books are $130.00

CURRENT PROCESSING TIMES

Routine: 10 to 13 weeks*

Expedited: 7 to 9 weeks and an extra $60.00

*Mailing times are not included in processing times.

Processing times only include the time your application is at one of our passport agencies or centers. The total 

time to get your passport includes both processing and mailing times. It may take up to 2 weeks for applications

to arrive by mail at a passport agency or center, and up to 2 weeks for you to receive a completed passport in 

the mail after we print it.

Consider the total time it will take to receive your passport when you are booking travel.
