Protecting & Serving
Various services and programs have been put into effect to protect
and aide the citizens of Hemet. Citizens may report suspicious activity, review current police news and changes, and even get their fingerprints taken for various reasons.
The Community Services bureau consists of School Resource Officers, Hemet PD Explorers, Neighborhood Watch, Crisis Intervention Team, and Hemet PD Volunteers. It is supervised by Sergeant Michael Mouat.
School Resource Officers

The Hemet Police Department, through a partnership with the Hemet Unified School District, staffs each middle and high school within the city limits with a full-time School Resource Officer. These full time Hemet Police Officers maintain an office at each school and interact daily with students and staff on campus. They are responsible for the protection of students & staff and investigate crimes that occur on campus.
Public Events & Services
The Community Services bureau represents the Police Department and assists with the coordination of several special events throughout the year. Some of these events are: City of Hemet Christmas Parade, Veteran’s Day Celebration, Riverside County Law Enforcement Torch Run benefiting Special Olympics, the Ramona Outdoor Play, Blood Drives, Expired Prescription Drug Turn-In programs, Riverside County Air Show, and much more.
