Everyone needs a few good friends, even a public library. Since 1962 the Friends of Hemet Public Library have supported the library in developing its facilities, collections, and services. Through library advocacy, special used book sales, sales in their library bookshop, and small fund raising activities, the Friends stimulate greater public support and use of the Library.
Donating Material The Hemet Friends of the Library accept all donations during the hours of 9 am to 4 pm Wednesday through Saturday. Please do not leave your donations outside the library as the "Good Stuff" is taken before the Friends and Library have an opportunity to accept them. Remember, your donations are tax deductible, so be sure to pick up a form from the Friends.
Becoming a Member Membership in the Friends of the Library offers many benefits. If you would like more information about joining the Friends of the Hemet Library or volunteer your time working in the bookshop. For information contact the Friends by email or phone at 951-765-2431. The Friends meet the third Wednesday of each month at 1:30 pm. They do not meet June, July and August.
